Osimhen, Awoniyi, Iwobi 20 others make Super Eagles squad for Sierra Leone clash

Super Eagles of Nigeria Head Coach Jose Peseiro has named a 23-man squad for the 2023 AFCON qualifiers against Sierra Leone on June 18.

Top on the list are in-form goal-scorers, Victor Osimhen and Taiwo Awoniyi who will look forward to receiving supply from the boots of Everton ‘Player’ of the year, Alex Iwobi.

There are spots for home based players Sochima Victor, Olurenleke Ojo, Chidiebube Duru and Divine Nwachukwu following their stellar performances at the ongoing NPFL Super Six playoffs.

All invited players will report to camp in Lagos. The team will train at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan before heading out to Liberia for the match.
