Peter Obi in Kano on condolence visit over death of Bello Yusuf Maitama, father-in-law of Datti Baba-Ahmed

Mr. Peter Obi, the Presidential Candidate of Labour Party (LP) in the February 25, 2023 election has paid a condolence visit to the family of Late Senator Bello Yusuf Maitama, a former Minister of Internal Affairs.

Mr. Obi, a former Governor of Anambra State, who was accompanied on the trip by his wife, Margaret, said that Senator Yusuf Maiama, father-in-law to the Vice Presidential Candidate of LP, Sen Datti Baba-Ahmed, “contributed immensely to the development of our nation.”

Obi also commiserated with the Emir of Kano, His Majesty Aminu Ado Bayero, the Emir of Bichi, His Royal Highness Nasiru Ado Bayero and indeed all Nigerians, over the death of the highly respected statesman.

He also prayed God to forgive his sins, grant him eternal rest and grant his family and all who mourn him, the fortitude to bear his irreplaceable loss.
